Project Description

Operation optimization and fundamental upgrading of the central building air conditioning system is summarized as follows:
Flow adjustments and piping malfunctions resolving via new variable speed pump system.
Complete installation on the roof of the building of two new air cooled chillers of high performance (type High Efficiency), replacing the old chillers (refrigerant R-22) .
Implementation of the appropriate air-conditioning management control system.

The new cooling ensured:
smooth operating conditions, fully automated
reduced maintenance requirements and costs
full control and monitoring via the central automation system installation
air-conditioning energy saving of more than 35%.

Namely, the replacement of the old chillers (refrigerant R-22) with simultaneous substantial improvement of cooling water distribution and appropriate management system adaptation led to optimum operating result with overall payback time of investment of 3.5 years.
